Dive 1 – Gordo 1 (Inside):
The first dive at Gordo Banks featured strong currents but we were fortunate to encounter a hammerhead shark, as well as two wahoo swimming past and a school of five sardines added a dynamic touch to the dive,
Dive 2
The second dive at Gordo Banks also saw strong currents. We were treated to a school of sharks along with a cownose ray that glided past and a big snapper baitball. The thermocline between 40 feet and 80 feet provided a slight temperature shift, but the dive was equally as thrilling as the first, showcasing the incredible diversity of marine life in the area.

- Visibilitiy 45ft
- Temp 86°F in the first 60ft and 80°F below 60ft – There was a thermocline between 40 feet and 80 fee and tempo dropped to 70°F.

7TH NOVEMBER
Dive 1 – Gordo 1 (Inside):
During the first dive, we encountered strong currents but we were lucky to see a Mobula mobular (giant devil ray), gracefully moving through the water, along with a wahoo that passed by. Some bonitos were spotted on the reef, adding to the dynamic marine life.
Dive 2
In our the second dive, we descended onto the reef and were immediately met by around 10 hammerhead sharks. Numerous tope sharks were also spotted, hanging out near the reef. We encountered large schools of fish, and the highlight was a massive school of jacks that added an incredible spectacle to the dive.

12TH NOVEMBER
Dive 1 – Gordo 2 (outside):
The first dive was truly spectacular. We descended to find a wall of hammerhead sharks and a school of bonitos added to the action while a massive stingray glided past, creating a memorable moment.
Dive 2 – Gordo 1 (inside):
The second dive was quite different, with strong currents making for a challenging dive. Unfortunately, we didn’t encounter much marine life, except for a few jellyfish drifting by. The currents were the highlight of this dive, creating a dynamic underwater environment.

14TH NOVEMBER
Dive 1 – Gordo 2 (outside):
Our first descent started with a great spectacle—a massive school of fish in perfect harmony. The currents were gentle, visibility decent, and spirits high.
Then it happened. Out of the green thermocline at around 120 feet, a full school of hammerheads emerged. Among them, a few curious youngsters came closer to us. It lasted only 15–20 seconds, but it was an amazing moment!
Dive 2 – Gordo 1 (inside):
Our second dive was a quieter yet equally captivating experience. While we were descending, we spotted a solitary tope shark and shortly after, a large hammerhead came to closer to us.
Diving Conditions
- Visibilitiy 45ft
- Temperature was 79–80°Fduring our first dive and 6–85°F, with a noticeable variation on ascent. We had a thermocline at around 120ft.

17TH NOVEMBER
Dive 1 – Gordo 1 (inside):
During our first dive, we had very good visibility at around 40 feet, with temperatures ranging from 74–82°F. The current was strong, sweeping north to south, adding an exhilarating edge to the dive.
As we drifted along the seamount, a big school of jacks appeared just in front of us.
Dive 2 – Gordo 1 (inside):
In our second dive, we met 10 to 15 tope sharks gracefully cruising together.
